Inspired by the Japanese tradition of hospitality, celebrity stylist Kazumi Morton has created an inviting space that celebrates light and the joy of beauty in her new Beverly Hills salon, Salon Kazumi.Salon Kazumi is a full service hair salon with a menu of signature services including styling, cuts, color, keratin treatments and straightening utilizing the Japanese method. Kazumi is one of a few stylists in California certified to apply Hair Lingerie extensions. Salon Kazumi is departmentalized – all hair experts on staff are dedicated to the craft that they excel in. The salon features 10 stations, including four on the second floor loft that overlooks the main floor. In addition to a state-of-the-art Takara ‘Rollerbowl’ hair processor, the Salon Kazumi salon features custom Takara Belmont salon chairs and shampoo bowls.
With 20 foot ceilings and bleached oak floors and cabinetry, the new all-white 1100 square foot studio is illuminated by natural light that pours in through its oversized windows. Fresh floral arrangements on the salon’s marble-topped reception desk and throughout the salon provide splashes of color. Sophisticated design elements can be found everywhere, from the four mature olive trees that flank the entrance to the Ellie Cashman designer wallpaper that creates a vivid explosion of flowers in the powder room.

Kazumi will retail hair care products including the Milbon family of luxe shampoos, conditioners and treatments - Inphenom, Plarmia, Nigelle ER, and Elujuda hair oil – as well as the full line of Oribe styling products and her own Root Vanish.
“Positive energy is everything,” says Morton. “We are so lucky to be able to make people feel pretty, but we also strive to make our clients feel uplifted and inspired on the inside. I truly believe the energy and environment that we’ve created at Salon Kazumi will help every one of our clients feel that way.”
About Kazumi Morton
Following her dream and her passion for hair, Kazumi Morton’s career began when she moved from her home in Japan to Los Angeles to train at the Vidal Sassoon Academy. Upon graduating, Kazumi was taken under the wing of world-renowned colorist Stuart Gavert, where she mastered the art of natural looking transformative and buildable color. Always the beauty innovator, she was inspired to create the acclaimed Root Vanish coloring brush and color treatment; and as an educator for Milbon, she introduced Japanese straightening methods to the U.S. Kazumi has been featured in Allure Magazine, where she was tagged as a “brunette master,” and in InStyle, Glamour, Vogue, Marie Claire, More, Real Simple and the Hollywood Reporter among other prestigious magazine titles. She has worked her magic on such celebrities as Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattison, Christina Applegate and Zooey Deschanel. She currently practices her artistry on two coasts, at Prive Salon in New York, and now in Beverly Hills at her own Salon Kazumi, 9725 South Santa Monica Boulevard, Beverly Hills, California, 90210.
