NovaLash, Inc., a global distributor of eyelash extension products, has grown their family of lash artists via savvy social media outreach and an annual competition they call Lash Off which names their best “lashionistas.” Each year, NovaLash has created a viral buzz with Lash Off that builds brand awareness while also inspiring their loyal users.
Currently operating in over 40 countries outside of the U.S., the Lash Off Competition ran from November 1 to November 30 and had two categories: Lash Artist of the Year, which comes with $10,000 in awards and prizes, and Fan’s Choice Winner, which boasts a $5,000 prize package. To enter their skills in the Lash Artist of the Year bucket, lash artists were asked to submit a one to three minute video showing them applying NovaLash eyelashes using the proper NovaLash technique. To submit for Fan’s Choice, three each of “before” and “after” shots of their best work were required and were uploaded to Facebook. The winners in both categories will be selected in December and announced on January 1, 2014 so keep your eyes open!
