On Saturday, September 14, 2019, Barry Shaich and Phyllis Nomura, co-founders of MadeTrue Hair pedaled for a cancer cure at the Seattle debut of the Tour de Pier stationary cycling fundraiser at Lake Union Park. The Tour de Pier Seattle raised $150,000 for three non-profit cancer organizations: Virginia Mason Cancer Institute, the Hirshberg Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research and the Uncle Kory Foundation.
