Ulta Beauty, the nation's leading beauty retailer and premier destination for beauty services, today announced makeup artist and podcast host Jaleesa Jaikaran (@jaleesajaikaran) has joined its Pro Team, a collaborative group of industry leaders who bring the vision and experience of The Salon at Ulta Beauty to life.
The Ulta Beauty Pro Team was established in May 2017 as a pioneering group of artists and educators from the industry's top level of beauty brands and market relationships. Drawing on extensive expertise, the Pro Team collaborates to support the company's community of stylists, makeup artists and skin therapists with education, trend spotting and industry-wide, leadership-level representation.

Jaikaran's new role with the Ulta Beauty Pro Team will reflect Ulta Beauty's ever-evolving education and amplify the company's commitment to sharing more makeup tips, techniques, and innovative solutions. Jaikaran is the third makeup artist on the current Ulta Beauty Pro Team. She joins Mat Wulff, also new in 2023, and veteran Deney Adam.
Jaikaran works to enhance clients' natural beauty. Obsessed with the transformative powers of makeup, Jaikaran's inspiration comes from being exposed to diverse cultures and the desire to uplift the self-esteem of other women, a struggle she experienced growing up in Trinidad.
She also hosts the beauty podcast "The Life of a Makeup Artist," where the conversations are centered around sharing the stories of rising and defining voices in beauty, highlighting their career journeys, the lessons they've learned along the way and why it's critical to create a future that continues to be inclusive.
In addition to an array of celebrity clients, her campaign clients include L'Oreal, Carol's Daughter, Lancome, MAC Cosmetics, Stuart Weitzman, Banana Republic, and Kate Spade. Her editorial work has been published in Elle, Glamour, L'Officiel, Vogue, Schon! and other media.

Anna Manukyan sees the power in Jaikaran's story to move others toward their passion.
"Jaleesa was creatively drawn to a field that transforms people," Manukyan says. "The beauty industry is a mystery to many people, and she's a great example of embracing it. We can't wait to see what she shares and how she inspires her beauty pro peers and our guests at nearly 1,400 Ulta Beauty locations throughout the country."
