If you have never been to the Westfield Old Orchard shopping center in Skokie, Illinois, think of it as “shopping heaven.” And, nestled in-between the Lord and Taylor, across from the Sephora stands the newly remodeled Mario Tricoci Salon & Day Spa, which re-opened on Tuesday, December 11, 2012. Not only is the location a prime spot for mall-goers looking for beauty services, the salon itself is completely updated with a newly enhanced spa with larger waiting and retail areas, new manicure/pedicure stations, improved lighting (plus lots of natural lighting) and an aesthetic feel throughout.
Beauty enthusiasts, Mario Tricoci staff and executives, the Mayor of Skokie George Van Dusen along with Mario Tricoci himself, were in attendance. Guests lined up for free services by estheticians, make-up artists, manicurists and stylists who offered mini-facials, chair massages, polish changes, make-up applications and cut and color consultations.
The climax of the event was the ribbon cutting. After sharing a champagne toast, the Mario Tricoci party ventured outdoors in front of passerby and shops with a long gold and red ribbon. Tricoci and Mayor Dusen had the honors of cutting the ribbon and making the re-opening official.
“The new and improved salon and spa will offer an even more enhanced experience for our guests and an optimum work environment for our staff to produce the best possible results for all,” says Tricoci. “As always, we want to provide the latest in cutting-edge style and technology while still providing a relaxing environment. This was an exciting moment for one of our most popular locations!”
