Cosmetologists Chicago Belief Statement on Sustainability
Sustainability, as viewed by Cosmetologists Chicago, an association of 5,000 salon professionals, incorporates and integrates three key elements specifically for the salon industry – continued economic development to sustain our businesses, social progress to support and protect our communities and an active and involved concern for the environment that will maintain the earth as we know it. Sustainability is what will enable future generations to live a quality life at least on par with what we enjoy today.

Cosmetologists Chicago is committed to these three pillars of sustainability and will bring together the best of the salon and spa industry for discussion on how each and every salon professional, salon owner, and manufacturer can participate.
Plans are in process to expand the Summit in 2009, incorporating leading companies involved in the green and organic movements as well as those experienced in the various salon business aspects of maintaining a sustainable-yet profitable-salon or spa.
