Hollywood’s elite were spotted at The Matrix Style Suite within the GBK Oscar’s Lounge in Beverly Hills this past weekend. Matrix Artistic Director Ammon Carver helped create glam do’s and offer personal consultations on a number of celebrities. Ammon also offered customized hair strategies to keep their locks looking their best using Matrix’s Biolage, Total Results and Design Pulse collections.
Ammon invited each “guest” to sit in his styling chair in the Lounge to discuss their hair needs and challenges. After the consultations, he was able to prescribe the best solutions from the Matrix portfolio.
Here's what each celeb liked/left with:
Lincoln’s Bruce McGill left with Design Pulse Messy Couture, Total Results Blonde Care collection—Shampoo, Weightless Conditioner and Flash Filler Sheer Mist--for his wife’s flaxen locks.
Lincoln's David Costabile, Biolage Hydrathérapie Collection
“Ashley Williams from How I Met Your Mother came in with a great textured bob,” Ammon reports, “and we decided that Matrix Exquisite Oil Replenishing Treatment was the perfect treatment to control flyaways and enhance her textured cut.”
Another consultation success story was with Wendi McClendon Covey, the star of Bridesmaids. Ammon reports that she requested solutions for her fine blonde hair, so he sent her home with Total Results Blonde Care plus the body-boosting Total Results Amplify Hairspray.
Brigid Brannagh from Lifetime’s Army Wives left with the Biolage Colorcarethérapie collection and Exquisite Oil Replenishing Treatment.

Over the course of the two days, Ammon also met with dozens of other celebrities, including Richard Kind from Argo, Bruce Greenwood of Flight, CCH Pounder from Avatar andThe Shield, Rex Lee from Entourage and Suburgatory, boxing champion Sugar Ray Leonard and Melissa & Joey’s Joey Lawrence. He also chatted with Evan Handler, aka “Harry” from Sex and the City. "Though the actor is bald," says Ammon, "he loved the way a few drops of Matrix Exquisite Oil made his scalp look and feel healthy and refreshed!"
Each visitor to the Matrix “pop-up” styling station received a gift bag full of Matrix products, including the items recommended specifically for them by Ammon.
