Moroccanoil launches its first-ever cutting program entitled “Moroccanoil Cutting,” tailored towards the professional hairdresser.
Classes are designed to teach six different methods including one length cutting, layering and graduation cutting techniques, allowing stylists to learn how to create gorgeous, unconventional finished looks by the end of the curriculum. Attendees will also be trained on consultation skills, discussing facial contours, balancing particular face shapes, as well as coloring and finishing techniques specific to face shapes.
Within the “Moroccanoil Cutting” series is a special 3-day program known as the “Academy Collection,” curated and led by celebrity and lead fashion stylist Peter Gray. The Academy Collection will be exclusively presented in the Moroccanoil Academy as part of the core education program, focusing on more artistic and editorial looks.
"I wanted to create a program for Moroccanoil that provides a solid core of essential cutting techniques and skills," Gray says. "It is clear, concise, easy to use and applicable to daily salon life."
Moroccanoil Cutting is designed to blend conventional and unconventional cutting techniques, allowing hairdressers to expand their cutting portfolio and develop skills designed to decrease booking times behind the chair. Stylists will learn to complement techniques with Moroccanoil product mixtures that are customized for the client and best suited for the technique being performed. Each look taught in the program is intended to be interpreted and implemented behind the chair on various hair lengths and textures. There is a focus on detail and practical, tailored craftsmanship in each class.
“Moroccanoil Cutting” kicks off in January 2017 with classes offered at the Moroccanoil Academy in New York, Factory 236 in Barcelona and the Viuty Academy in Chile. For more information or to register, visit moroccanoil.com.
