Other 2013 NAHA Changes & Developments:
Men's Hairstylist of the Year: The new "Men's Hairstylist of the Year" award will be added to the lineup of the current 13 NAHA categories. The recipient of this new award must master current men's commercial, contemporary and wearable styling trends. "Men's Hairstylist of the Year" will honor a stylist who displays the highest proficiency in the designs and techniques used in men's styling and grooming.
Make-Up Artist of the Year: NAHA has also changed the entry rules for the "Make-Up Artist of the Year" award. For the first time, competitors can submit their own entries without being nominated by a hairstylist. This allows make-up artists not affiliated with a stylist or salon to showcase their work.
New Rules: Entrants should make sure to review the new Rules & FAQ's before entering NAHA 2013! Several updates and changes have been made, specifically regarding the use of photo manipulation. All entries will require unedited images for all final entry images submitted. For more details visit probeauty.org/naha/rules.
All applicants for all categories, except Make-Up Artist of the Year, must be licensed cosmetologists or cosmetology students and adhere to the specific rules and regulations of the category they are applying for. Visit the NAHA website at probeauty.org/naha for qualifications specific to Make-Up Entrants.
