Anything that saves space is welcome for artists who travel, work on-set or do special event styling. We received information on Hair by Flatts, a female-founded beauty startup, announcing the launch of Flatts™—a collapsible velcro roller designed with a sleek, patent-pending structure that redefines both form and function in everyday hair styling.

Flat Roller, Big Volume
The initial product to market is a 2-inch Velcro roller—the first of its kind to feature a collapsible design. While Velcro rollers have enjoyed a major comeback thanks to their ease, bounce, and heat-free styling, their traditional bulky design has remained unchanged for decades. Flatts solves this long-standing issue with proprietary unfolding technology that allows each roller to lay completely flat, reducing storage volume by approximately 70%.
“Flatts is about solving a problem most people didn’t even know they had—until they see it,” says Kim Agin, founder of Hair by Flatts. “We wanted to take a timeless beauty tool and make it smarter, sleeker, and more suited to how people live today. Flatts make it easier to take great hair with you, wherever you're headed.”
