If you have a bright business idea that’s fueling your salon’s growth, it’s time to check out the new Salon Today 200 application on salontoday.com. The 19-year-old competition that puts the spotlight on salon owners and best business practices gets a retooling this year, with new straightforward essay questions and two new competition categories—salon culture and inventory control.

There are 11 different ST200 competition categories, including one on salon growth and ten on business practices. Salon owners can design their own ST200 experience by choosing which competition categories to enter—as few as one or all of them if they so desire. Salons may earn honors in multiple categories.

The 2016 ST200 honorees will be profiled in the January/February 2016 issue of Salon Today and honored at a special certificate ceremony at Serious Business in New Orleans in late January.

“The Salon Today 200 is our New Year’s gift to the industry,” says Stacey Soble, editor in chief of Salon Today. “The data collected from ST200 salons establishes important business benchmarks, that all owners can measure their salons against, and the best practices shared by the honorees inspires owner across the country.

The deadline for 2016 ST200 entries is August 31, 2015. Click here for more information or to check out this year's application. For additional questions, contact Joyce Alverio at jalverio@vancepublishing.com or 847-415-8037.
