America's Beauty Show, traditionally the Chicago Midwest Beauty Show, has amped up its annual program significantly for the 2008 show in its new, downtown Chicago, IL location. In addition to the elaborate exhibits of the industry's heavy hitters and extensive education offered yearly, America's Beauty Show has lined up an incredible group of international educators for its main stage, renamed The Runway. Headlined by Nick Arrojo, Oscar & Wendy Bond, Yves Durif, and Tim Hartley, it features live education for all attendees in the center of the show floor, daily. The following events will be co-located with the show, providing the most extensive, can't-miss beauty event of the decade:
OMC HairWorld Championships of Beauty Produced by Organisation Mondiale Coiffure (OMC), the world's largest beauty organization representing hairdressing federations in 70 countries, HairWorld takes place every two years in a different host country. The NCA, the USA representative to the OMC, has hosted HairWorld in America just four times-in 1976, 1984, 1996 and 2002-and will again in 2008. OMC HairWorld is expecting 10-15,000 international guests representing more than 50 countries worldwide.
Future VISION 08 at America's Beauty Show- Future Vision 08, in collaboration with Wella Professioanls, Sebastian Professional and Graham Webb, at America's Beauty Show will be filled with the amazing talent of the brightest luminaries on the international beauty scene, including hairdressing icons Sonya & Christopher Dove, the Vidal Sassoon Creative Team and Nick Arrojo.
The Salon Sustainability Summit- Designed to help salon owners and pros "Go Green," the Salon Sustainability Summit brings a panel of experts to encourage sustainability on every level. Green marketing experts Darrin Duber-Smith, MaryBeth Janssen, David Raccuglia, Eric Fisher and Frederic Holzberger. Geno Stampora ends the day on a motivation note encouraging all salon professionals to make a difference.
