Wella Announces the Finalists of Wella Trend Vision Awards
This year’s awards centered around the Monochromatic trend, which is rooted in minimalism and intentional by design.
If you're an esthetician or a nail technician looking to do some product spring cleaning, Tweezerman offers a selection of products that are razor sharp and efficient for tweezing, clipping or nipping.

Tweezerman
Time for another product review, and this time it's Tweezerman! I tried out a variety of products
by this brand that would be useful for any esthetician or nail technician looking to spice up their
tools. Each of these products are made from stainless steel and are extremely sharp, so they are great for precision cutting or tweezing (depending on the tool).
Tweezerman offers a variety of essentials for brows, lashes, faces, hands, feet, men and beauty kits.
Another perk Tweezerman offers is free sharpening for any of their tools that have become dull. They
replace damaged/dropped tools for one half the purchase price. (For more information on sharpening
and replacing, scroll down to the bottom of this review.) Here are some of the tools I tried:

Rockhard Stainless Cuticle Nipper ½ Jaw: This is a very handy tool to clean a client's cuticles. It easily maneuvers around the nail to snip hangnails and dead-build-up skin. The precision
blades are super sharp so it provides smooth cutting. The stainless steel handles are calibrated with a double-spring action, so you don't need to squeeze too hard for trimming. It's designed for both righties and lefties, and it comes in medium and small jaw-blade sizes!

V-Cuticle Nipper: This is very similar to the Rockhard Cuticle Nipper, however, I found it easier to use because of its ergonomically designed body. The unique shape of this nipper will ease tension on your hand and it provides an ample amount of control (useful for nail technicians suffering from Tendonitis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, or tired hands). The angled tips are very sharp and make hard-to-reach ragged cuticles easy to reach. Using this tool compared to the Rockhard Cuticle Nipper is a matter of preference. And, it also includes a travel pouch!

Stainless Steel Toenail Clipper: What can I say, this toenail clipper is heavy duty! It has super sharp, straight edges for cutting toenails and acrylic nail tips with maximum precision. There is even an easy grip handle to prevent slipping. For best results, soften toenails by soaking before trimming. Clip nails straight across with stainless steel blades to prevent ingrowns, making sure not to cut below the nail bed.

(Above) No-Slip Skin Care Tool: This is the ultimate tool for your teenage clients, or anyone who may be suffering from breakout skin. This tool features a thin angled loop to gently roll out white heads and a flat side to press out blackheads. It has a textured no slip grip design for complete hand-control. For best results, open up pores with a hot washcloth. For white heads, wait until the blemish has broken open then gently glide the angled wire over it to release debris from the pore. The opposite side's long, flat loop is designed to gently press out blackheads without damaging skin. This was my favorite tool out of the entire collection. For clear skin, this is the tool to use.

Infinity Callus Rasp: This tool is used for reducing calluses and smoothing skin. The Callus Rasp also comes with replaceable filing pads to create a new two-sided rasp for each client. After use, discard pads, sanitize holder and replace with new pads for next pedicure. Replacement pads come in packs for 12 or 50. Infinity Callus Rap with replaceable filling pads
Pushy Cuticle Pusher: This 2-in-one tool features two different cuticle pushers on each end. Used for pushing back cuticles and cleaning under and around the nail, this tool doesn't scratch, it provides a secure grip and it's ideal for both manicures and pedicures. To use effectively, rub moisturizer or cuticle cream into nails and hands to gently soften skin and cuticles. Soak your client's hands in a bowl of warm water with oil or Epsom salts. Gently clean under and around the nail and use the cuticle pusher to push back cuticles. Pushy Cuticle Pusher
Petite Tweeze Set: This dynamic duo set comes in a pink leather case and with two different tweezers, slant and point. For best results, tweeze in the direction of hair growth using the slant tweezer for general plucking and the point tweezer for ultra-fine hairs and stubble. I tried this set out and it efficiently works! The "petite" tweeze is great for cleaning up brows and the point tweezer has a needle point tip great for getting out hard-to-get to hairs that your slant tweezer may miss. Petite Tweeze Set
