NAILS Next Top Nail Artist (NTNA) is a reality-style nail art competition for nail professionals that features a series of design challenges, culminating in the ultimate nail artist winner.  NAILS, top sponsor OPI, and other professional nail manufacturers, announced their choice for the 2020 winner last night at a launch event for OPI’s new MEXICO CITY Collection, a south of the border selection of spicy seasonal nail shades.

NAILS’ Beth Livesay presented Melisa Salazar (@artisannailstudio) with a sparkling trophy and named her their OPI NTNA All Star 2020.  See her winning work here.

Welcoming the assembled nail and beauty fans who joined OPI at last night’s party (held at Toca Madera in West Hollywood) to sip Mezcal cocktails and enjoy mini-tacos, empanadas and manicures, was Coty Senior Vice President of the company’s Professional Beauty Division in North America, Sennen Pamich.

“We’re launching this new collection in good company--we have some amazing nail brands and influencers in the room,” Pamich said. “As the market leader, we come out with the best quality collections, and the best colors, but it’s so important that we celebrate the craft.  Regardless of the winner, you should be proud of your artistry, your mastery, and your craftmanship."
