The annual Caper event for Paul Mitchell schools opened here at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas with almost 3,000 thousand motivated and very excited future professionals in attendance—MODERN's own Publisher Steve Reiss is currently on site to participate in the excitement and passion for the industry!

The students all earned the right to attend, so while there is a lot of fun and inspiration-the content, education and experience are being taken very seriously. Giving back has always been at the center of the Paul Mitchell experience, and over the years they've given millions to charity. On hand to thank them were some celebrity guests including Fran Drescher (you know her as tv's The Nanny) who told some very moving stories about her own bout with cancer, and the work she is doing related to early detection.

The audience was also treated to a special concert by Donny and Marie Osmond-an amazing show. We've all seen them on TV many times, but in person they give a great performance-both have beautiful voices and some pretty nice moves. For those of you old enough to remember, Donnie is the Justin Beiber of the '70s.
