Professional Beauty Association Helps Stylists with License Regulations

Professional Beauty Association Helps Stylists with License Regulations

The Professional Beauty Association is taking steps to assist hair stylists who, because of  regulations in several states, cannot practice their craft or conduct salon business when moving across state lines. License regulations can vary greatly form state to state. Passage of license mobility legislation would allow stylists in good standing (documented experience and educational credentials) to move freely, taking a valid license with them to a new part of the country.

“The Professional Beauty Association continues to actively advocate on behalf of all beauty industry professionals concerning license mobility,” says Sam Levyas, the PBA’s director of government affairs.
