In addition to leading hairtalk go-to-market brand strategy in North America and assisting the buildout of the global hairtalk brand, Schoonover is Chair of Beauty Industry Group’s Environmental Committee and a member of the Beauty Industry Group Professional Brand's Board. Schoonover brings a decade of experience to the professional hair extension space in both direct-to-salon and distribution channels, most recently as the Brand Leader for Hotheads
Hair Extensions where she led the brand’s diversification from tape extensions to the portfolio of professional extension methods it offers today.

“These two brands were the industry disruptors that put hair extensions on the map and created a new category on the salon menu in Europe and the US, respectively.” Schoonover says. “It’s an understatement to say I’m honored to have the opportunity to join the fantastic hairtalk team led by the tremendous John Costanza, Global President, as we continue to build the premiere worldwide brand of professionally installed hair extensions.”

Schoonover holds a Master’s of Engineering Management in Forest Resource Management and Environmental Health from Duke University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida.
