pH-Bonder from Redken is a complete solution to promote bond integrity during a professional hair color or lightening service.
Redken says using pH-Bonder during a color or lightening service will result in softer, smoother hair, while preserving the health of hair during each salon visit. Its pH science-backed formula is designed to reduce hair breakage, improve elasticity, and add smoothness and shine. Colorists can maintain expected lift without increasing the developer.

“My clients are always asking to go lighter and brighter, but as their colorist, maintaining the health of their hair during and after each service is a top priority,” say Redken Artist Sean Godard. “pH-Bonder allows me the security of knowing that my client’s hair is going to be protected from breakage and damage while still achieving the color results they desire, along with added strength, softness and shine.”
Post-Service Perfector is the retail option for clients.
The system’s three components – #1 Bond Protecting Additive, #2 Fiber Restorative Pre-Wash Concentrate, and Post-Service Protector – help protect bonds and balance hair’s pH. During an in-salon service, a colorist’s first step is to add #1 Bond Protecting Additive directly into their formula in order to help protects bonds during thetechnical service by keeping fibers strong from within to reduce breakage. Next, after the hair has processed and rinsed, #2 Fiber Restorative Pre-Wash Concentrate is applied at the backbar for ten minutes to restore the hair fiber and smooth the hair’s cuticle for improved strength, shine and softness following the color treatment. The third and final component of pH-Bonder is the Post-Service Perfector, a once-a-week treatment designed for clients to maintain hair’s natural pH at home.
The formula is adaptable to all types of color services including foil highlights, balayage, cream bleach, color and gloss. When using pH-Bonder, there is no change in the color mix consistency or compromise on processing time.
Included in each salon kit, the easy-to-use Professional Dosing Syringe aids the stylist with a precise, mess-free pH-Bonder solution measurement during every application.
