Sam Villa, Redken’s renowned Education Artistic Director, believes braids are taking a bit of turn for the spring and summer. “They are still important,” he says of the very hot trend, “but they are getting a bit more interesting.” In this video, Sam demonstrates how he creates a horizontal, waterfall braid with strands of the braid falling out “like a waterfall.  Move away from simple braids,” Sam advises. “Start having fun and create braids that have strands that drop out. Up-do’s today are a little bit more about a midnight versus 6 p.m.”
