Francky L'Official was the lead hairdresser for the Rubin Singer show.
"I really don't see shorter hair as a trend for this season, but if your client is going to wear it, make it work. To make it great, it should be shiny, messy and versatile." Graduate designers from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco offered great fashion, and Tokyo for Workgroup LTD created stunning hair to go with their work.

"My favorite new cuts are short on the side and back, and long on top," said Jimmy Paul for Bumble and bumble, who led a team for Nanette Lepore. "It's a variation on Linda Evangelista's iconic cut. There is a real ease to this look, no hard lines, not geometric. It has nonchalance." "This season we are going to see a rise in shorter hair cuts," says Edward Tricomi, who designed the hair for the Joanna Mastroianni show. "The great thing about these cuts is the amount of styling versatility."

"This is the year people can take advantage of short hair, as long as it has a line and a message," says Garren who, with his team, styled models for Anna Sui. "On this model, a heavy, blunt fringe really works. Short hair must have shape and products must be used to make it modern."

There wasn't a lot of short hair on the runway for the Fall '08 season, but each look that did emerge made a strong statement. Nothing was left to chance-lots of product and prim and proper placement made every silhouette shown in this portfolio worth a mention.

In Dubai, Clients Visit the Salon Every Week. Here’s What That Market Can Teach You

In Dubai, a salon visit isn’t an appointment. It’s a weekly routine, and clients can spend $800 to $1,400 a month on it, according to Gaurav Tripathi of MADI International. On October 6-8, 2026, the market behind those numbers opens its doors as Beautyworld Dubai marks its 30th edition at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together distributors, brands, stylists and salon owners from all over the world.
