Sola Salon Studios offer salon professionals the benefits of salon ownership in a salon model in which beauty professionals come together under one roof. On October 12-14 2014, in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico, 175 Sola Salon Studios franchisees and managers joined vendor partners that included insurance providers, construction companies, the Sola cabinet design company and real estate professionals, to talk about their successes in growing the salon studio business.

The conference featured industry speakers, updates about Sola Salon Studios, informational round table sessions, an awards dinner and the overall chance for franchisees and managers nationwide to connect on a business and personal level.

MODERN SALON Media’s Steve Reiss presented on professional beauty trends that included the use of social media in marketing and the impact of the global recession.

Round table discussions focused on overall marketing and operations and how to improve the relationships with tylists and their customers. Franchisees also provided input on topics such as studio layout and operating procedures to improve the amenities for Sola stylists.

“Our main focus is to enhance our offerings and provide the highest level of customer service to the salon professionals who choose Sola,” says Jennie Wolff, Sola Salon Studios. “This includes building better relationships both nationally and locally, and developing communities for the stylists to be a part of / learn from.

Awards went to the best operators in areas such as client relations and customer service. The highlight was the “S'Agapo" award which stands for "showing the love" and goes to the person best exemplifying the values and culture of the Sola system. This year, the Sola team in DC Metro (Alexandria) comprised of Jeff DeBolt, Don DeBolt and Long Ngo were honored.
