In January 2014, my husband and I got married at Dreams Puerto Aventuras Resort and Spa in Riviera Maya, Mexico—and it really was just that: a DREAM. Every moment leading up to the walk down the aisle was seamless. And the wedding? Perfect.
We were lucky enough to have 70 of our closest friends and family join us for the week-long celebration that included a bonfire welcome party, mariachi band entertainment, a tour of Tulum's ancient Mayan ruins, plenty of poolside and beach memories, and, of course, our unforgettable wedding inside of a gazebo overlooking the turquoise ocean.
But preparing for the big day—all the planning, organizing, stressing and anticipation—can certainly take a toll on a bride's body. After we tied the knot, my husband and I had a spa day at Dreams Spa by Pevonia for a complete day of relaxation, recovery and pampering.
Fast forward two years, for our anniversary, we returned to Dreams Puerto Aventuras. This time, with our little boy in tow.
While I was there, I wanted to stop by the spa to give you a little tour of what makes this resort’s spa a top-knotch resort destination for brides, honeymooners, couples and anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
