Sport Clips, Inc., one of the nation's fastest growing hair-care franchises tailored to men and boys, held its National Huddle at the Las Vegas Rio with nearly 1,000 team members attending. A meeting highlight was the company's 400th store opening, in Las Vegas, at which Founder and CEO, Gordon Logan, announced Sport Clips' plans to have 500 stores open by year's end and 1,000 stores open by 2010. After the opening comments, a demonstration by Guinness World Record Breaker for Fastest Haircutting, Ivan Zoot, was held with NASCAR's Mike Wallace as the Client, and Logan timing the event.
Also part of the Huddle were guest speakers John Paul DeJoria, chairman and CEO of John Paul Mitchell Systems, who has been recognized by the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, and John DiJulius, a well-known author and lecturer on the topic of customer service.
Headquartered in Georgetown, Texas, Sport Clips was named in Entrepreneur magazine's January 2007 issue as the 72nd largest franchise in America, up from its 81st position last year, and the 49th fastest-growing franchise, moving up one position from its ranking in 2006.
