Elaine Watson, global education director for Star Nail, joined with Nail Talk Radio and nail technician Athena Elliott to create artistic T-shirts to benefit the Polished Girlz charity.
Elliott is a medical nail tech and her nail spa is fully equipped to offer nail services to diabetics and chemotherapy patients. Via her Nail Talk Radio, Elliott has enlisted nail technicians to create T-shirts featuring nail art to raise funds for Polished Girlz. The charitable outreach, recently featured on The Ellen Degeneres Show, brings nail art parties to young women who require frequent hospitalizations. The nail art events also stress the importance of hand washing and other measures to reduce infections and thereby reduce hospitalizations.

Watson’s T-shirt is one in a series of 12 featuring art from leading nail technicians. Only 100 of each shirt will be printed and ten percent of each purchase will go to Polished Girlz.
“The design for my T-shirt came from a shot we created for the catalog of our Cina Nail Art line,” said Watson. “We wanted something that was eye catching as well as a good marketing message. The look was an Adam and Eve inspired concept complete with apple and a snakeskin effect.” Visit starnail.com.
