Whether it’s textured, straight, dyed, dry, damaged, short or long, wouldn’t it be nice to have a flatiron that is customized to your client’s hair? Well, I just tried out three different T3 flatirons: Fahrenheit 450, Mane Tamer and Volumize. Each is designed for a different hair type!

As we all know, no client's hair is deemed equal. Whether it's textured, straight, dyed, dry, damaged, short or long, wouldn't it be nice to have a flatiron that is customized to your client's hair? Well, I just tried out three different T3 flatirons: Fahrenheit 450, Mane Tamer and Volumize. Each is designed for a different hair type and each comes with a handy placemat for your iron and a user's guide.
Fahrenheit 450 – This flatiron gets really hot-up to 450 degrees! The convenient thing about this flatiron is you get to choose the temperature setting from four different levels [level one (damaged, fine hair) to four (coarse, wavy hair)]. Since my hair has a slight wave, I only went up to level two. I waited probably about 2-3 minutes for the iron to heat up completely.

The Fahrenheit 450 is lightweight, and easy to handle. The Tourmaline SinglePass technology really does create straighter results in a single pass (at least with my hair). For harder to manage hair you're going to want to crank up the heat (to level 3 or 4) for the single pass ability.
This flatiron emits negative ions and infrared heat. The negative ions cancel out static and close the cuticle sealing in moisture. The infrared heat quickly penetrates deeper into the hair from the inside out creating a sleek, shiny and frizz-free finish.
Also, what other flatiron do you know of that has a microchip brain? The microchip consistently measures and adjusts the plate temperature so heat levels are maintained.

Compared to the Fahrenheit 450 and (the next iron I'm going to discuss) the Volumize, the Mane Tamer is bit heavier and the plates (1.75") are rectangular and larger. This iron is designed with Tourmaline Ceramic Infused plates. The great thing about this iron is it is meant for "Taming Manes"-unruly, coarse, thick hair. It helps straighten these hair types that overpower lesser irons.

Four temperature options
The Volumize is super cool for clients with short hair types. Its slim design with curved plates allows you to lift and curl hair! This is why this flatiron is called the Volumize. This iron is ideal for clients who want spiky volume, voluminous layers or sleek height.

I tried out this flatiron on my long hair and it didn't work so well because of the slim design. However, if you do have a client that has long hair, and you want to straighten a few strands here and there, this iron would work well. My advice is to stick to short hair types with this iron and you will be more likely to get the results you want.
