THE EVENT: “The Gathering 2010,” John Paul Mitchell Systems’ annual educational and inspirational event first launched in 1991, held at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. THE DETAILS: Almost 4,000 hairdressers from around the world came to celebrate Paul Mitchell’s 30th anniversary. Classes, seminars and workshops were offered by various teams including: Angus Mitchell, Takashi Kitamura and Julian Perlingiero; LaDonna Dryer and Lucie Doughty; Stephanie Kocielski and Linda Yodice and many more. Business forums were offered by Winn Claybaugh and Robert Cromeans.

THE DETAILS: Almost 4,000 hairdressers from around the world came to
celebrate Paul Mitchell's 30th anniversary. Classes, seminars and workshops

and Linda Yodice and many more. Business forums were offered by Winn

THE LAUNCH: Awapuhi Wild Ginger, the luxury hair care line fortified with
a KeraTriplex blend, is sulfate free and designed to heal the hair from the inside
out. "Awapuhi has been 30 years in the making," said John Paul DeJoria,
JPMS co-founder and CEO, as he introduced the product. "Hawaiian natives
have used the juice of the Awapuhi ginger plant to moisturize skin and hair.
It leaves the hair softer, more manageable and with intense shine." There are
eight products in the new line comprising two keratin treatments, a shampoo,
a conditioner, two texturizing products and two finishing products.
THE HIGHLIGHTS: A special guest appearance by Jeanne Braa, the original
Paul Mitchell Artistic Director and a presentation of "Flash Back" the professional
hair color line designed for men. In addition to an impressive student
fashion show, there were aerialists, dance performances and model presentations
by Paul Mitchell icons on opening night.

Harris, a master associate with JPMS. "The Gathering gives a complete experience:
motivation, world-class education and a chance to connect with some
