#skincycling has taken the top spot, gaining a remarkable 653 million views. Similar to other beauty trends on TikTok, this one isn't exactly new and involves alternating nightly exfoliation with retinoid use, followed by two days of redness-calming and hydrating skincare. This trend is viral among individuals aged 18-24 and has gained significant popularity in Poland, Spain, and Greece.
Following in second is the #bowlmethod trend. Though it has fewer posts than #skincycling, it still boasts an impressive 489 million views. People who follow this trend wash their hair, apply curl cream, and then turn it upside down so they may repeatedly immerse it in a bowl of water. This helps to increase hydration and reduce frizz. The technique is popular among people of the same age group and is trendy in Norway, Germany, and France.
#foreheadreduction occupies the third place, captivating audiences with 297 million views. This trend focuses on surgical methods to make the forehead appear smaller by lowering the hairline using Microfeathering. It has become popular among individuals aged 18-24 and has a significant following in South Korea, Thailand, and Canada.
#pumpkinspicemakeup, in the fourth position, has charmed the TikTok community with 22 million views. This trend focuses on using warm shades of brown, bronze, and orange to capture the essence of pumpkin and cinnamon. Deep red or bright orange is sometimes added to the eyes or lips for an extra pop. It's popular in Spain, Poland, and the US.
Ranking fifth, #spiderlashes has an overall 97 million views. This trend involves applying mascara to create long, separated lashes reminiscent of spider legs. It's viral in Croatia, Finland, and Iceland, indicating a preference for bold, statement eye makeup in these regions.
#unapproachablemakeup takes the sixth position with 95 million views. This popular trend showcases a woman's confidence and dominance through bold makeup choices, such as smudged, smoky cat eyes and well-defined, plump lips. These intense looks create a dark and powerful atmosphere. The trend has gained significant popularity among 18-24-year-olds and is especially favored in Australia, Croatia, and the Netherlands.
In the seventh position, #cherrycolalips attracted TikTok with 84 million views. Focused on bold lip tints, the trend comes from Dolce & Gabbana Fall/Winter 2023/24 runways, with fiery red lips being a staple with every fit. Its popularity is highest in Finland, Denmark, and Norway.
#skinimalism, ranking eighth, has attracted attention with 52 million views. Emphasizing minimalistic skincare routines, the trend is all about simplifying skincare routines without sacrificing results, as a fresh take on the no-makeup makeup look trend. It has become popular in Lithuania, Poland, and Latvia.
#permanentfreckles, in ninth place, has 3 million views. This trend involves cosmetic procedures to create natural-looking freckles on the skin to give that sun-kissed look without the harmful effects of the sun. It's most popular in the US, Poland, and Canada. Unlike other trends favored by the 18-24 age group, #permanentfreckles is the only trend on the list appealing more to the 25-34-year-old demographic.
#angrygirlmakeup, at the tenth spot, has garnered 2 million views. This trend has become a platform for women to share their experiences and speak about their anger through GRWM videos. Therefore, this trend is much more than just looking angry or emulating the makeup looks of dark female characters. This trend is particularly popular in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain.
