WHO: Artistic director Sandra Yu has been with Rusk for the past 17 years. Star educator, famed platform artist, fashion week staple and innovative designer, Yu travels the world for Rusk teaching the latest in cut, color and design. Yu was assisted by Diandra Mandile, who earned her license earlier this year. WHAT: Creating a fun and fashionable look for MODERN's August '08 cover model in "Shaggy Chic". "Guys are more daring today with color," she says. "They are more playful and curious!" WHAT'S NEXT: Yu just opened The Head Spa in lower Manhattan. "It's nice and small," says Sandra, "and caters to an interesting, mixed clientele. I am in the process of building my staff and growing my team in the salon ... creating ‘Junior Ruskies!'"

WHO: Ozzy Hernandez, Johnny B. artistic team member has been doing men's hair since 2000. Born in Mexico City and raised in California, Hernandez comes from a family of barbers and hairdressers. Hernandez enlisted Marisol Villarreal, education director for Johnny B. and Color Edge, to do the color.  WHAT: "Versatile Challenge" created exclusively for MODERN. WHERE: Shot at the Johnny B. Warehouse in Commerce, California. WHY: To show the latest trends in men's hair cutting and the importance of giving clients the ability to create different looks with one hair cut.
