More about Brager and her design:
Being a creative soul, Jessica Brager has enjoyed doing hair and makeup for as long as she can remember. In her spare time, Brager draws as another outlet of artistic expression. Just recently, Brager’s supervisor heard about the Kenra Dare to Design competition and encouraged her to enter the contest. She thought, why not?
“To prepare for the creation of my design, I searched Google for hairspray bottle designs from various companies to get a general idea of the direction most companies used. I wanted my design to be different than those. I wanted to create a simple design that stood out, and also to be celebratory of the 25-year anniversary and not confusing.”
Brager worked for a few weeks during the evenings after work to sketch out different designs, and draw out her final version.
“The inspiration for my design came from the spray itself. I wanted the number 25 to look like a burst of enchanting spray, simple, and stylish just like the product. This product’s fine mist sprays dry, not wet. It keeps the hair shiny and holds curls and updos really well—like magic!
Brager says this is her first beauty competition that she has won. “Designing this bottle was such a fun experience. I’ve never entered any contests or done anything like this before. I am so very glad I did!
