Punk Style Goes Broadway

Green Day’s “American Idiot” album was pop culture smash when it was released in 2004 and it’s since sold more than 14 million copies worldwide. They took it up a notch this past spring with a Broadway rock opera based on the music, which has racked up multiple Tony Award nominations and two wins. With style as a big part of the show, keeping up with the punk hairstyles on stage is not an easy task. Hairstylist Kevin Maybee has been in the industry for more than 25 years and he’s proven he’s up for the challenge. Check out his looks from the show.

The press launch of Liquicolor Permanente, the reinvention of the iconic color line, Miss Clairol. Members of the beauty press attended a power presentation of models at Clairol headquarters in Rockefeller Center in New York City. Officially “revealed” November 1, the power of soy has been put to the test. “Soy4Plex technology is used to infuse color while conditioning the hair from the inside out,” says Danny Lapointe, Artistic Director for Clairol Professional. “The new formula offers more conditioning, shine, multi-tonality and longlasting, natural-looking results.”
