Amika's new Velveteen Dream Smoothing Balm aims to give your clients the hair of their dreams even when the summer heat has other plans.
The lightweight, heat-activated balm is powered by an advanced, time-released encapsulation technology that is designed to protect against frizz-inducing humidity for more than 24 hours. Phenyl trimethicone, a lightweight silicone, and Sea Buckthorn Berry extract are hydrolyzed into molecules and encapsulated within submicron spheres that are then encased in a conditioning polymer shell. The shell forms an invisible and weightless barrier onto the hair, and the submicron spheres are stabilized before releasing the ingredients in a controlled and time-released manner for continuous style-extending benefits.
To use:
Work a small amount through damp hair.
Heat style as desired.
