Chicago-based surgeon Dr. William Yates has provided the Academy Awards gift bags with vouchers for free hair transplants using a new-age procedure, according to NBC Chicago.

The voucher comes in first on the list of ridiculously priced gift bag items, as its cash value is $16,000 (just slightly more than the second-most expensive item, a $15,000 walking tour of Japan).

Yates uses equipment known as ARTAS, which he says is less invasive and results in a shorter recovery time than hair plugs.

When asked if he was worried about potentially handling the heads and hairs of A-List celebrities, Yates doesn't seem fazed. "Everybody's hair is the same to me," Yates says.

Wonder if any nominees will look a little different in the coming year? We'll have to wait and see!
