Ted Gibson is a wise stylist; he took the opportunity to skew a bit editorial with Elizabeth Bank's 2015 Met Ball look. Gibson says he drew inspiration from the theme, China: Through the Looking Glass.

"As an editorial hairdresser, I took inspiration from the Asian theme of the event," Gibson says. "Elizabeth's intricate ponytail is both elegant and elevated--perfect for a night at the Oscars of fashion."

STEP 1: Spray hair withL'Oréal ProfessionnelDensité thickening primer at the scalp for density and root elevation.

STEP 2: After drying hair, apply a dime-sized amount of L'Oréal Professionnel Architexture to hair for form, structure and definition. Flatiron hair straight.

STEP 3: Section hair from recession to recession in a horseshoe section. Part hair down the middle from the crown to the nape of neck.

STEP 4: Put hair in two ponytails at the crown of the head. Apply L'Oréal Professionnel OR Graphic gel to the sides of the hair for added hold and shine.

STEP 5: Fasten the two ponytails with a bungee elastic so they are close together. Add four rows of clip-in extensions over the top of the two ponytails to add length. Flatiron the extensions and pull hair left out in the horseshoe section over the two ponytails.
