Giannandrea, International Creative Director for Macadamia Professional, gives us some insight into the top trends in styling and cuts for Spring/Summer 2015.


The must-have cuts:

1. “One major trend is the texturized bob (as seen on Kristen Stewart, left), which is a straight sharp silhouette and a very choppy inner core with razored out layers,” says Giannandrea. “This cutting trend is in full effect and will continue on all the way into the fall.”


2. “The second is a very different approach with very long, below the shoulder lengths consisting of rounder shapes with soft, thinned-out layers.”


The trending styles:


1. Expect to see high ponytails with edgy rocker textures, flat iron bends and twists – a more fashion forward type of pony (as seen on Chrissy Teigen, right). “The look can be accomplished using Macadamia Professional Volumizing Dry Shampoo at roots and Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment on mid length to ends,” says Giannandrea.


2. Another look to watch out for is “natural, clean textures (clean as in, just washed) consisting of softer, larger sections of waves, detailed with softer and more cream based products – flowing, effortless and bouncy.”
