MODERN launched Wedding Belles to build on last year's fun, promote industry artistry and name one of YOU as the newest member of our exclusive Artist Collective(which includes @theconfessionsofahairstylist, @alexfaction, @taylor_lamb_hair, @antestrada and @ay__grace among others).
After receiving thousands of entries since the contest’s launch, it was extremely difficult to narrow the pool of beautiful, glam, holiday styles down to 10. From updos, chignons, braids, beautiful buns and finger waves, it wasn’t easy to judge this first round, but it certainly was beautiful!
This group of 10 semifinalists not only earn major bragging rights, but they also receive incredible prizes, including a gift box packed with goodies (we’re not kidding, it’s PACKED) from some of our favorites—Kenra, Phyto, Living Proof, Grande Cosmetics, and Milkshake. These pro beauty brands pulled out all the stops to gift this group with the goodies to help up their styling business and create polished, picture-perfect finishes.
But the semifinalists aren’t off the hook just yet—MODERN is challenging them to create another wedding-day-inspired look. We are asking them to create an adorned special-occasion look by 11:59 p.m. CST on Feb. 19. Adornments could include braids, twists, knots, hair accessories, jewels, flowers or any other special touches they can dream up. Entries will be judged by the MODERN SALON Artist Collective, including Mustafa Avci (@mustafaavci), Galyna Poczciwinski (@ufirami), Sydney Ann Lopez (@sydneyannlopezhair), Ruby Torrealba (@missrockabillyruby), and Hannah Holsomback(@bighairedhannah.
