There is a lot of opportunity to create beauty buzz on the Red Carpet of the Miss USA Competition. Standing out in the crowd was singer-songwriter and actress Christina Milian who looked gorgeous with her mane of voluminous curls created by CHI artist Arthuro Gray. CHI by Farouk Systems was a presenting sponsor of the competition and CHI artists were backstage working their magic. Here’s how Gray created Milian’s Red Carpet look:

Christina’s hair was dried with the CHI Touch Blow Dryer before applying extensions.

The hair was prepped with CHI Silk Infusion and CHI Infra Texture Spray after which I over-directed the parting to create an asymmetrical feel to the style.

All hair was curled away from the face using Farouk Royal Treatment Hairspray and a one-inch CHI Curling Iron.

Each curl was pinned up and allowed to cool. An application of BioSilk Volumizing Therapy Texturizing Powder added volume at the crown.

The style was set with Royal Treatment Hairspray and CHI Shine Infusion and pinned to one side.
