While hair is damp, work in a nickel-size dab of Cabella Anti-Aging Organic Leave-In Conditioner, beginning at the ends and working toward the scalp. Add a few pumps of White Sands Gluten-Free Undercover Styling Spray and distribute through the hair.
With hair flipped upside down, scrunch texture into the hair and let it air dry. “Maria has wavy hair, but if hair is straight, use a diffuser to scrunch dry while pushing and squeezing waves into the hair,” says Hanousek. The result will be more tousled than curly. When dry, spray several pumps of Moroccanoil Glimmer Shine Spray throughout the head, raking with fingers to loosen and create a piecey texture.
Section out the top of the head and clip hair aside. Starting at the nape, pull hair into three small ponytails using small rubber bands. Make sure the nape is tight and that the ponytails are in a straight line.
Take top hair and loosely gather into the final ponytail. Keep height and texture on top. Tie the first two ponytails together and then criss-cross the ends under the bottom pony to hide the band. Fasten with bobby pins.
Divide hair in the last two ponytails, tie into knots and pin. If the hair is longer, double or triple tie and secure. Finger style and finish with a few sprays of White Sands Infinity Hairspray.
