Emily blunt was a picture of elegant simplicity as she walked the Red Carpet at the Golden Globes Awards ceremony. The Best Actress nominee chose a shimmering Michael Kors gown complimented by an up do created by Laini Reeves for Moroccanoil.

The high-placed bun was inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s timeless look in Breakfast at Tiffany’s.

“Emily’s dress was so amazing and sexy that I wanted to create a minimal look that showed off her beautiful features with simple lines and an unstructured texture with lots of shine,” said Reeves.

Reeves began by shampooing with Moroccanoil Extra Volume Shampoo followed by Moroccanoil Extra Volume Conditioner. She applied Moroccanoil Volumizing Mousse to damp hair for volume, shine and a flexible, natural-looking hold

Reeves applied a small amount of Moroccanoil Hydrating Cream from roots to ends and flipped hair over to rough-dry upside down. She used her fingers to define strands for texture as they dried.

“I brought Emily’s hair into a high ponytail, still using my fingers to keep the texture messy, and secured it on the crown with a hair band,” said Reeves.

Reeves held the pony tail straight out and sprayed it from base to ends with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium. She twisted the hair around her fingers making a loose bun held around its base with bobby pins.

The bun was formed to be the exact size to suit Blunt’s bone structure and profile. Reeves placed the bun and worked strands with her fingers to create the right texture.

She finished by smoothing the hairline with a comb sprayed with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray Medium.
