Robin Wright, Emmy Award nominee for her role in House of Cards, wore an elegant black silk Ralph Lauren gown on the red carpet. Her hair, styled by celebrity stylist Paul Norton for Revita by DS Laboratories, was a charming, tousled-fringe look inspired by the shaggy boy cuts of the 1960s. The eyebrow-grazing fringe was cut and styled for movement and versatile partings. Norton stressed that conditioning and prepping the hair was crucial to achieving this style.

Wright’s fine hair was shampooed with Revita LT Hair Stimulating Shampoo from DS Laboratories for volume, moisture and manageability.

Revita Cor Conditioner was applied to smooth, and condition the hair, followed by a spray of Spectral RS from DS Laboratories. Spectral RS is an anti-aging leave-in treatment that helps develop fuller, thicker and stronger hair. “I tousled Robin’s hair dry and flat-wrapped it in every direction with a Mason Pearson brush, so it could flit in every direction (without a part). Then I brushed the hair forward and down to frame her face,” says Norton.

Norton applied a cocktail of cream pomade and a waxy paste to create pliable texture. “Patting the hair gently, I twirled little pieces with my fingers to separate the strands. Robin’s hair is blond with a dark base and I knew this definition would pick up nicely on the red carpet,” he says. The fringe was lightly combed and swept to the side and sprayed with a light medium-hold spray. “The style should look as if she just ran her fingers through it,” adds Norton.
