For this MODERN SALON session, Sexy Hair Artistic Director Rafe Hardy and International Master Artist DawnAtkinson prepped the hair with curls, rotating directions and using various iron sizes for a “clash-curl” effect. Once set, the hair was styled into different looks ranging from the commercial Demure to the wearable-with-an-edge Let It Roar, and finally the more avant garde Alter Ego.

Alternate 1-inch, on-base curls with a curling iron and ½-inch spiral wand curls. Alternate directions from left to right to create a clash-curl effect.
