Nicole DeStefano (@nicole_does_beauty) helped this young male client remove the effects of an at-home job that went, well, bad.

"Another corrective color today," DeStefano says on her Instagram post. "This is why I strongly suggest you don't try to color your hair at home. Corrective colors cost more in the long run than coming in from the start!"  #Truth

We share her process below:

FORMULA AND STEPS

  • Wella Blondor and 20volume with Olaplex,  mid-length to ends.

  • Put under heat for 10 minutes.

  • Then used Blondor and 30volume with Olaplex at roots and under heat for 10 minutes.

  • Toned with Wella 12/61 with 40volume at bowl to help lift just a little bit extra. "It kicked any extra warmth out."
