Iris Smith, owner of Lux Salon in Sockton, California, created this gorgeous caramel balayage technique with Saran Wrap. Her client came into the salon with grown out colored hair before she was lifted to a naturally golden blonde. Here, we share the formula.

Formula

Alternating slices of:

(A) Redken Flash Lift + 20 volume (mid-shift), 30 volume (mid-shaft to ends)

(B) Joico Permanent Color 6b + 20 volume

Tone with Beth Minardi (equal partings) 6bg and 7ncg + 5 vol

Styling

STEP 1: Apply Sfactor Silky Smooth Moisture Serum before blow drying.

STEP 2: Once fully dry, spray Sebastian Shaper Hairspray over the entire head. Use a 25mm curling wand to curl the hair.

STEP 3: Finish the curls with Sebastian Shaper Plus Hairspray. Then run a wide tooth comb through the curl for a softer result.

STEP 4: Apply TIGI Bedhead's Beehive Dry Shampoo for added texture and volume.
