From Abrupt Ombré to Soft Color Melt

Kaitlyn Settlemyer (@kaitscissorhand), a hair stylist and makeup artist in Hickory, NC, has managed the harsh lines of this ombré, creating a soft color melt that will grow out gracefully.

STEP ONE: I used the balayage technique in v-shaped sections throughout her whole head using Schwarzkopf's BlondMe Lightener and 30 Volume with Olaplex added in the formula to keep the integrity of her hair.

STEP TWO: Processed for 35 minutes, 15 with heat and 20 without.

STEP THREE: Toned the mids with 6/16 from Wella and the ends with 8/69 from Wella.

STEP FOUR: I left that on for 15 minutes and then shampooed and conditioned her hair with Exquisite Oil from Matrix
