GET THE LOOK: 2016 Golden Globe-Inspired Makeup

Jenny Patinkin, makeup artist, beauty expert and entrepreneur, recently appeared on You and Me on Chicago's WCIU to recreate her favorite makeup looks from the Golden Globe's red carpet--lazy perfection style. The looks included Lavergne Cox's bold lip color, Jaimie Alexander's smokey eye and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's golden glow. Here, she shares your new go-to guide for your clients' makeup looks any time of year.

Lavergne Cox Wine Red Lips:
To recreate this look, Patinkin first says to line lip with a nude pencil that matches the color of your client's bare lips and then sweep or pat a dark lipstick on top. She used MAC lip pencil in Boldly Bare to line lips and then Kevyn Aucoin lipstick in Bloodroses. For those with lighter hair, Patinkin recommends to dab the lip color with your finger if the color looks too intense in order to soften it.

As for the rest of your client's face, she says the key is to neutralize all other color. "Conceal red or dark areas so complexion is even and then apply a soft, neutral blush," Patinkin says. "This look can be worn with a bare lid and just a little liner and mascara.  The deep color should be the star of the show."

Jaimie Alexander Smokey Eyes:
Using Anastasia Brow Powder Duo for a bold brow, lightly sweep the color in order to deepen the color and define the shape of your client's brows. Patinkin says that using powder requires less precision than using a pencil. "For blondes, brow color should match the roots of the hair or one shade darker; for brunettes the color should match the tips of the hair or one shade lighter," she says.

To get the smokey eye, line at the roots of the lashes with a soft texture pencil and then flip the pencil over and smudge the powder on top and all over the lid. Paninkin used Surratt Beauty Smoky Eye Baton in Fumee Noir. Blend with your fingers or a brush, then apply powder to the lower lash line with a sponge.

"This does not need to be perfect," she says, "the beauty of this look is how easy it is to just smudge."

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley Golden Bronze:
Prepare yourselves for the look you will be recreating all spring and summer. To achieve this, Patinkin says to use bronzer in place of traditional blush. Sweep bronzer on the cheeks, up onto the temples and then back around onto the jawline. She used Hourglass Ambient Bronzer. Without re-dipping, dust what's left on the brush onto the chin, nose and forehead.

"The key to getting an even, natural application of bronzer is in the brush," she says. "It must be very soft and fluffy--hard brushes grab a lot of product from the pan and don't apply or blend evenly or easily."

To finish off the look, go with a simple eye. Use a pearly white eye shadow and line eyes with black liquid liner close to the lash line.
