Nashville Artist and Kérastase Hairstyling Educator Sarah Crews (@HairBySarahCrews) of Studio Gaven Salon in Franklin, Tennessee got together with singer/songwriter Karen Shea (@KarenShea_) to create three unique hairstyles with rock 'n' roll flavor. From a blooming rope braid updo to a full-bodied, rockabilly half-up style to a voluminous, crimped Dutch braid, each of the looks created by Crews are Instagram gold. No wonder this styling session turned into an impromptu photo shoot, revealing what can be accomplished with, according to Crews, "just one outfit, an iPhone and a brick wall." Not to mention a whole lot of styling talent.

Products and Tools: Kérastase Mousse Bouffante VIP (Volume In Powder), Laque Couture Finishing Hair Spray, a blowdryer and a 1" curling iron
1. Distribute 2 pomegranate size applications of Mousse Bouffante from roots to ends on damp or dry hair. Blowdry product into the hair, lifting at the root area to create volume.
2. Curl hair in 2" sections around a 1" barrel iron. Shake out curls using fingers while lifting at the root area and spraying VIP into the hair. This will create weightless, powdery, volume and texture.
3. Starting at the front hairline, above outer corner of one eyebrow, begin creating a dutch rope braid. Work diagonally across the back of the head, gathering all the hair as you go, ending behind the opposite side earlobe. Finish rope-braiding the remaining tail and secure with elastic.
4. Begin "pancacking" or pulling the rope braid apart to create bulk. As the rope braid begins to "bunch up" pin into place so that the rope braid appears to "bloom" across the back of the head.
5. Gently pull out accent strands around the perimeter. Spray into place with Kérastase Laque Couture.

3. Section hair from front to back by dividing hair vertically from top of ears forward.
4. Create "Victory-like" rolls in the front area by directing 3" sections of hair straight up, looping the hair around the fingers and strategically pinning into place.
5. "Ruche" the remainder of the hair in the back by choosing 2" strands, and gently grasping and pushing against the grain toward the head. This will intensify the curl pattern while creating airy volume. Spray with Laque Couture Finishing Spray.

Products and Tools: Kérastase Mousse Bouffante VIP (Volume In Powder), Laque Couture Finishing Hair Spray, a blowdryer and a Sam Villa Texture Iron
1. Distribute 2 pomegranate size applications of Mousse Bouffante from roots to ends on damp or dry hair. Blowdry product into the hair, lifting at the root area to create volume.
2. Crimp hair in 1" sections starting at the root area and moving down hair strand. With a boar bristle finishing brush, brush through the hair to break up the crimped sections. Use fingers to lift hair at the root area and spray VIP into the hair. This will further volumize and aerate what has already been created by the texture iron.
3. Beginning at the top, center front hairline start directing a dutch lace braid diagonally toward one side, continuing down behind one ear. Finish the braid to the end of the tail.
4. "Pancake" the braid by pulling gently at the loops to create bulk. If desired, encourage shorter, loose pieces to pull out. Re-crimp these loose pieces for interest.
5. Detail and finish by spraying with Laque Couture.
