Celebrity artist Tracey Cunningham (@Traceycunningham1) is known for her famed and fabulous color designs. Just about every Hollywood starlet has stopped by her Beverly Hills Meche salon for some gentle or dramatic tweaking.

This very subtle blonding on Chrissy Teigen (@ChrissyTeigen), found on Instagram, has been getting lots of buzz so we checked in with Cunningham to get the how-to.

HIGHLIGHT FORMULA

2 scoops UP TO 7 De-Dusted Powder Lightener

2 oz. 30 vol. Pro-oxide Cream Developer

1/4 ounce OlaPlex


BALAYAGE FORMULA

2 scoops Flash Lift Maximum Power Lightening Powder

2 oz. 40 vol. Pro-oxide Cream Developer

1/8 ounce OlaPlex


GET THE LOOK

STEP 1: Using highlight formula, place foils throughout.

STEP 2: Use the balayage formula to add additional lightness to the ends.

STEP 3: Process to pale yellow, approximately 50 minutes at room temperature.

STEP 4: Gloss the root area with: 1 oz. 08N Mojave Shades EQ Gloss, 1 oz. 07NB Chestnut Shades EQ Gloss, 1 oz. 06N Moroccan Sand Shades EQ Gloss, 3 oz. Shades EQ Processing Solution

STEP 5: Glaze the hairline with ½ oz. 09N Café Au Lait Shades EQ Gloss, ½ oz. 09NB Irish Cream Shades EQ Gloss, 1 oz. Shades EQ Processing Solution

STEP 6: Process at room temperature for 20 minutes. Shampoo and Condition with Color Extend Magentics. Style as desired.
