Emily Blunt had the hair that basically everyone wants during her red-carpet appearance at the 2015 Critics' Choice Awards. Her Emilio Pucci dress was complemented by the cool-girl waves that Ashley Streicher created for her with Rich Hair Care.
"After discussing the look with her makeup artist, my sister Jenn Streicher, we agreed that since the gown was so formal, we wanted to 'cool' up the hair a bit and do a bronzed, smokey eye and nude lip," Streicher says. "Emily loved the idea."
Blunt had fresh blonde balayage by Tracey Cunningham, and her freshly washed hair worked well for the "tousled, textured, waved and volumized" style Streicher wanted.
GET THE LOOK: EMILY BLUNT'S COOL-GIRL WAVES
STEP 1: Comb Rich Pure Luxury Argan Volumising Mousse through wet hair from roots to ends and blowdry with a round brush for natural volume.
STEP 2: Center-part hair and add volume at the crown.
STEP 3: Take 1-1/2 square-inch sections starting at the nape of the neck and spray each with Rich Pure Luxury Sure Hold Hairpsray before wrapping them around a 1-inch curling iron. Leave the ends out.
STEP 4: When releasing hair from the barrel, pull it straight down to cool while slightly roughing up with your fingers. Do this all the way up the head until the very top-front.
STEP 5: On the front, make an S-wave with a flatiron.
STEP 6: Warm a small amount of Rich Pure Luxury Rejuvenating Argan Oil Elixir in your palms and pull it through the ends while shaking some of the wave out. This will separate the texture while keeping the ends healthy-looking and shiny.
STEP 7: Gently back-comb the crown and rub the head a bit to create texture and break up the curl.
STEP 8: Quickly run a flatiron over random curls to make a little less perfect while keeping the volume.
STEP 9: Finish with Rich Pure Luxury Sure Hold Hairspray.
