With blockbuster movie credits to her name like Big Hero 6, The Hangover Parts II and III, and acclaimed TV series such as Once Upon A Time, and Believe, one can say that actress Jamie Chung – who, by the way also runs her own lifestyle and fashion blog – is not only busy, she is one hardworking woman.

Chung was raised outside the hustle and bustle of the big city, just east of L.A. On a perfect sunny day in Los Angeles, Chung, a Southern California native, decided to take up an invitation from popular celebrity hair-colorist and Joico haircolor spokesperson, Denis de Souza. Souza, who’s created haircolor looks for the likes of Kate Mara, Mila Kunis, Rachel Bilson, Olivia Wilde, and Lucy Hale just for starters, recently made Jenna Dewan-Tatum shine on the Golden Globes red carpet with a rich, deep brunette color.

One look at Chung and Souza knew that a trend-setting Sombré was perfect for her. He would lighten her up a bit, brushing lowlights and highlights in just the rights places so as to mimic a very natural sun-kissed effect. STEP 1: "On Jamie Chung, I started by foiling her natural hair with high lift color, Vero K-PAK Color High Lift Ash (HLA) and 30 Volume Veroxide for soft highlights," he says.

STEP 2: "Then I used equal parts Vero K-PAK Chrome Demi-Permanent Crème B6 (Toffee) and A7 (Dark Ash Blonde) with Chrome Activator for soft lowlights."

STEP 3:  "I proceeded to lighten the ends with Vero K-PAK Crème Lightener and 10 Volume Veroxide."

STEP 4:  "After processing to a golden blonde I glazed the entire hair with Joico Vero K-PAK Chrome ¾ oz. CLEAR and ¼ oz V9. Finally, I shampooed and conditioned with Joico’s NEW Color Balance Blue regimen, which is perfect for brunettes like Jaime who get their hair lightened, to make sure and keep unwanted brassiness or orange tones away (or correct it if you’re starting to see it) and maintain the look at home.
