If your client wants to try a new, exciting color for the summer months, why not try yellow? With the correct products and application, you can transform your client into a “golden goddess.”

Ofelia (the model in the video) came in with a grown-out ombre that Master Colorist Guy Tang originally gave her two years ago when she modeled for him. With Ofelia back in the chair, Tang knew he had to create something memorable.

In this video, he lightens Ofelia’s entire head by surface painting (hand painting) the hair. He then uses his “Transition Color” technique and applies Kenra 8G Blonde/Gold with 40 volume permanent coloring crème developer. In the video, he smudges the color right into the lightener to create a seamless look between the two colors. Watch as he blurs them right over each other, while hand painting the hair.

After 40 minutes of processing, Ofelia’s hair was lifted to a Level 9 (in some parts a Level 8). You need to see the final look to believe it! Yellow never looked so chic!
