We've recently gotten really into the step-by-steps on Hair and Makeup by Steph, which is a beauty blog from pro stylist and make-up artist Stephanie Brinkerhoff.

Not only is the Utah stylist incredibly talented in the ways of bridal 'dos—she also runs a top-notch blog with great tips, tricks and step-by-steps. Our favorite right now? An updo Kate Middleton sported; Brinkerhoff recreated it for a bride.

We've rounded up the how-to from Hair and Makeup by Steph below, but make sure you visit the original and check out the other incredible work on her blog.

GET THE LOOK

STEP 1: Curl hair loosely (flat iron or curling iron—your choice).

STEP 2: Section out sides to a bit past each ear and clip aside. Section out the top and clip aside as well.

STEP 3: Put the remaining back section in a low ponytail.

STEP 4: Create a chignon by looping small sections around the ponytail and pinning them in place.

STEP 5: Unclip the top section and drape it over the chignon. Loosely twist it and push it upward for more body. Secure with bobby pins.

STEP 6: Twist up the end of the hair remaining from the top section and add it to the chignon. Secure with bobby pins.

STEP 7: Unclip the hair on the sides to create two braids directed toward the back and lay them on top of the chignon. In Kate's updo, she only has one braid going down the shallow side of her hair, but this version has braids down both sides. Up to you!

STEP 8: Secure braids with bobby pins in the back. Mist with your chosen finishing spray, and you're done!
